The goal of your role:

As Head of People & Culture you are responsible for the development and strengthening of the amazing LOAVIES team and its culture. This is a key role within our management team, as we know that our people and culture are crucial to LOAVIES' success. You will build and head up 'team People & Culture' and act as a sparring partner for our founders and senior management. Your goal is to attract, develop and retain the best talent out there. You will make sure we get the most out of- and develop our people and make them proud. You report to our founder/CEO.

In this role, you will be responsible for

People & Culture Strategy: look ahead to guide LOAVIES into the future

  • Set a clear People & Culture strategy which sets LOAVIES up for success

  • Take a seat at the management team table and be the voice for our people

  • Inform the management team about the latest developments in People and Culture and advise how to integrate these in our way of working

LOAVIES Culture: ensure we have an engaged team and drive engagement initiatives

  • Together with the leadership team continuously define, develop and embody the LOAVIES culture

  • Create an environment where people can grow, feel safe and recognized

  • Amplify the unique culture where it’s awesome to be part, make us feel proud

  • Identify areas where the culture is below par, suggest and implement improvements

People Team: lead, mentor and inspire the People & Culture team

  • Build and guide the People & Culture Team (including office and facilities)

  • Act as a coach and mentor to the team so they can get the best out of themselves and do amazing work

  • Translate the People strategy into bite-sized projects and ensure brilliant execution

Recruitment: attract the best talent in the world to support our mission

  • Develop a robust Talent Acquisition strategy and build an effective recruitment team

  • Develop our employer brand and continuously optimize the candidate experience

  • Drive and improve the standard for hiring, increasing efficiency and user experience

  • Advise the management team about team formation, strategic staff planning, realistic hiring timelines, quality and costs

Organizational Development: develop our people organization and drive building high performing teams

  • General
    • Support in defining and maintaining the organizational structure to optimize communication and collaboration to achieve our goals

    • Tooling - source, advice on and implement HR tooling to scale the above

  • Performance management
    • Support managers in striving for high performance of all team members while managing healthy work habits

    • Provide structure (and a framework) to identify underperformance and work with the manager to boost performance or an optimal replacement

  • Learning & Development
    • Ensure our managers have the necessary skills to foster their team and individual development

    • Ensure all our employees have access to general skills and development trajectories, helping them grow in their careers


About You

  • You enjoy recruitment and have experience in hiring and building effective teams

  • Ability to get things done in a growing organization, organizationally savvy

  • Pragmatic and hands-on, you are able to get things done in a dynamic organization

  • Tech-savvy, you love HRIS/ATS/eNPS etc - and know how to implement these

  • Leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills, ability to develop talent

  • You enjoy the fast pace of a growing company and can deal with the challenges in this type of environment
