The job
You are part of the merchandise planning team and you work closely with our buying and production team. As a Junior Merchandise Planner within LOAVIES you are responsible for turnover and production planning and the numerical composition of the collection. Based on analysis of sales and market figures, you determine the collection size in terms of options, pieces, depth and purchase value per product group, you determine the pricing and you are responsible for the margins. You are also responsible for stock and intake. Based on your expertise and analysis, you advise our buying and production team to achieve the objectives together.
Responsibilities
Developing the strategy for your product groups;
Forecasting sales, turnover, margin, stock and intake;
Taking care of and monitoring the purchasing budget in your product groups and being in close contact with the buyers for an optimal implementation of the budget (pre- and inseason / OTB);
Monitoring stock / sales ratios based on daily sales figures;
Ensure periodic reports for insight into sellthrough, turnover, margin, returns, stock and intake;
Provide the purchasing team with proposals regarding bestsellers and slow movers (reorder / discount / reshoot);
Tracking of and providing input for discount policies/promotional activities in your groups
What we ask for
You have at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience in the field of Merchandise / Planning in a fashion environment;
You are currently based in the Netherlands, there are no international / relocation options at this stage;
You have a degree in higher professional education or equivalent ability;
You are very comfortable with numbers/figures, have good analytical skills that you combine with your commercial mindset and you are result-oriented;
You are incredibly driven and willing to develop yourself within this role to grow within in the organisation;
You are accurate, flexible and stress resistant;
You take initiative and are proactive
Available per 01-11-2023 (or sooner when possible).
