Financial Controller

As Financial Controller at LOAVIES you will have a key position in our finance team. You oversee several key responsibilities in the financial control, consolidation and accounting areas, covering 4 legal entities. 

Your responsibilities
As our Financial Controller you own and maintain the general ledger, the ERP subledgers and reconciliations. You're a stakeholder and expert in ERP improvement projects, providing advice and conducting tests. Also you support the preparation of statutory and group annual accounts, the external and internal audits and with compliance and tax matters.
You are a real team player, given the fact you support the CFO and management with (financial) analysis and insights around budgeting, forecasting, financial control and compliance processes. 

Amongst the tasks and responsibilities described above, other main responsibilities are: 

  • Review key accounting entries prepared by other team members;

  • Provide support to peers regarding accounting and controllership aspect;

  • Support the preparation of statutory and group annual accounts;

  • Own the consolidation process, review subsidiaries results and create the necessary adjustments;

  • Coach and develop the financial administrator team member.

We expect you to bring these skills and experiences:

  • A completed education at HBO+ level in a financial/business direction or a bachelor’s in finance, accountancy or economics;

  • At least 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar position;

  • Experience with ERP improvements, Business central is an advantage;

  • Excellent knowledge and command of Excel and analytics;

  • Flexible, agile, responsive and proactive
